The Measurement Factory needs help with software development projects on a contractual or part-time basis. Full-time employment with the Factory is a long-term possibility for successful contractors. A typical project involves designing and implementing new features in Squid, Web Polygraph, Traffic Spicer, and other Factory products.

Qualifications

As a contractor, the candidate must be able to work independently and dedicate at least 30 hours/month to Factory projects.

Our ideal candidate has experience in the following areas:

HTTP, ICAP, RTSP, or similar web communication protocols
The Squid caching proxy
The Web Polygraph test suite
Programming in C++
Using and programming Unix systems, especially Linux and FreeBSD.

Location

The Measurement Factory has offices in Colorado and Idaho, USA. A contractor is expected to work from his or her current location.
