Hi Folks,

We want to give you an update on our switchoff preparations and
remind you about the schedule.

We've added a web page that describes the switchoff deadlines:
http://switchoff.measurement-factory.com/deadlines.html

As we discussed at the planning meeting, the switchoff event has
been moved back two weeks. First day of testing is scheduled for
July 30th.

Note that the registration deadline is in approximately two weeks
(June 29th). On this date we will need your non-refundable deposit,
and a purchase order for the full participation fee. In order to
calculate your particpation fee, we'll need to know which tests
you plan to run, and your peak throughput levels. The pricing
page describes the pricing structure:

Polygraph 2.6.x distributions have been available for several weeks
already. We know that some of you have started swith-off preparation;
we were able to fix a few [minor] bugs based on your feedback. For
those of you who have not started testing yet, please understand
that we cannot solve problems that affect your entry but are not
found by your competitors. Please start your preparations ASAP!

We've modified the rules document in the following ways:

 - Layer 2 aggregation devices used between the device under test
and the polygraph servers will contribute to the entry's total
price. Client-side L2 aggregation devices still do not contribute
   to total price.

 - Removed "downtime test" from the test sequence.

 - Expanded the official test suite as described in our June 4
message to the TRICE mailing list. Please read section 5.1 of
   the Rules document carefully.

 - Increased the amount of guaranteed test time per Entry. We now
have 16 hours for entries running just the L4 or L7 tests, and
24 hours for entries running both L4 and L7 tests.

Web Polygraph version 2.6.2 is available today. Changes between
this version and 2.6.1 include:

 - A few bug fixes.

 - Addition of the missing "nolb-l4-4.pg" workload file.

 - Minor fixes to the "srvlb-l4-4.pg" workload file.

 - Fixes to the "srvlb-l7-4.pg" workload file.

Please write or call us if you have any questions or concerns.

Duane W.
